We have Josh's Dedication today at our church. Each quarter they hold a banquet and dedication service for the babies. We are getting all dressed up today and heading to church. It makes me feel good that our sons will grow up knowing church and religion. They can take what we and our church have taught them and use it in their lives one day. If they choose to go to church when they are grown that is great. If they choose to not go to church that is fine too. My Mom, an atheist, sent us to private church school. She always gave us the option, even though her beliefs were different. I want to instill that in our children too. Atleast they are given the option and we're not cramming it down their throats.
Today we are dedicating Joshua to the Lord. We hope that one day he will come to us and asked to be closer to the Lord and be baptized. We love our son with all our hearts and realize that he is a gift from God. We just want to say Thanks!

That is a great attitude tot ake on religion Aimee!
I am Catholic and Rob is Lutheran and we rotate betweent he 2 churches so Ryan will grow up knowing both and be able to choose his own faith. He has been baptized (Catholic), but I am not going to have him confirmed in either church until he can make the decision on his own!
Welcome to the Lord's family Joshua!
