October Ramblings

It finally cooled down some here in Texas. The temps have been in the 80's which is nice. We actually opened a few windows this weekend and enjoyed some fresh air through out the house. The humidity is still there which makes it seem not so "fresh" air. Almost drowns you at times. I can't complain, could be worse and it could be in the 90's. No thanks! It has been raining since yesterday with a forecast of 80% today. Blech! Oh well, the yard needs it and it does fake Josh out to think its night time where he sleeps lots. He had one long nap yesterday. I thought it would mess up his sleep pattern. No, he slept a five hour and then a three hour shift last night. Uninterupted sleep is like a chocolate sundae with a giant cherry on top. Yummy! Now if I could fake Jacob out and get him to take a long nap we'd be doing great! I might even get a nap in during the day. I'm not counting my chickens on that one though.

I cleaned house yesterday. I did my weekly mop job of the tile floors which is 90% of our house. I swept, vacuumed, dusted and cleaned the kitchen from head to toe. I also did three loads of our laundry, leaving the boys laundry for today-Joy! It just seems like a never ending cycle. As I was scrubbing the bath tub yesterday I said to myself, "Self-Didn't I just clean this tub?" It almost felt like Dejavu. Strange how that works.

I'm going to work on our Halloween/Fall decor today. I need to get up in the attic and drag the rubbermaid container down. I love Halloween. I enjoy the pumpkins and fun spooky decorations. It brings back memories of my child hood growing up. I just remember that once Halloween came then Thanksgiving and Christmas were soon to follow. It was like the leading holiday into a fun season for my family. Halloween also brings in the cooler weather which I've alway treasured. I could wear jeans and sweaters year round.

Oh! Oh! Oh! If you haven't already discovered this little gem for boredom check this out. My new addiction.
