The time change is always good in the Fall. You gain an hour. I love it! The kids however are totally screwed up. One tiny hour has a way of messing with the schedules. Although I revert back to the "old hour" and try to figure things out. Crazy! Joshua is up this morning at his usual 7:00 am, but it is now really only 6:00 am. Jacob has been sick the last couple days running a temp of up over 100. Poor baby is just not right at the moment so he's still sleeping in. He's been living off of Tylenol and Motrin.
My Mom is coming over today to spend Halloween with us. Mr. Big has his midterm tonight at school and won't partake in any of the festivities. I'll just have to take 200 pictures tonight instead of my normal session. Jacob is going to be a Tiger (Roar!). Josh is going as the traditional newborn pea n the pod (hand me down from Jake). I'm going as myself and so is Adda.
The neighborhood is having several different parties. We will hit a couple of those, but mostly we'll just hang out at home and hand out candy. Both boys aren't really old enough to understand Halloween just yet. Jacob is fast to pick things up so I'm sure one door and he'll be running for the next. Yikes. I cringe at the thought. We're in trouble.
Totally off subject-We looked at a house this weekend. Let's just say that I immediately loved the outside of the house and the lot it stood on. The aesthetics of the outside (curb appeal) drew me in. The home was built in 1975 and was over 2100 sq. ft. with 4/2/2. It appeared to be well taken care of and perfect for a growing family. UNTIL... we stepped inside. Whoa Doggy! It needed major renovations and work. Whoever owned it before smoked, owned two large dogs and had three small children. The only thing that had been redone since 1975 was the kitchen. It was nice, I'll give them that. The bathrooms however were, to put it nicely, outdated and dirty. Yuck! The living room had a brick wall that went into the fireplace and had paneling with nicotine stains on it all on other three walls. The linoleum was a nice dark green, you know the 1975's shade of green. The carpet was big time stained. The paint was all yellowish color from cigarette smoke. There was an extra room built on the side of the house that kind of slanted into the garage. Both doors to that room didn't shut right because of how it was built. I'm sure not up to code. I just had this bad feeling about the house. The disclosure even stated that the foundation had been repaired three times, although it did have a lifetime warranty bought by the last owner on it. Mr. Big walked around with a fine tooth comb for an hour as I stood rocking Josh in my arms ready to leave the first five minutes after the tour. He always sees the potential in things. I see the "work" and freak. He still thinks we could buy cheap, remodel and enjoy the house. I don't. I cringe and cry thinking about it. WAH! So-onto another house. That one was not a keeper! The thrill of the hunt, let me tell ya!

B is the same way sometimes. It's easy to think about the projects because they aren't the ones spending 24/7 in the house while it's in transition.
