It is gorgeous here today in Texas! It's in the low 70's and breezy with sunshine. Man, I love weather like this!
I just got back from a walk with the boys. Josh in stroller and Jake on his trike. Jacob is pretty funny. He talks the entire time we walk. If he doesn't have something to talk about he will start singing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Mary had a little lamb or his rendition of Dude Looks like a Lady (Aerosmith). He definately has his Mom's ability to talk about completely nothing. Josh just gazes around not saying a word. He loves the outdoors and gets silenced by its beauty. There's something about a boy and the love for the outdoors. At least my boys love it.
The house is slowly getting organized. The office and our Master bedroom are the last rooms. Our room is a disaster. We're having a cabinet put in our bathroom for storage. I'm kind of holding out until that is done so I can organize everything once its installed. We lost cabinets in our Master when we moved so I have some things to get rid of.
Our neighborhood is having an annual garage sale the weekend of March 31-April 1st. A girlfriend of mine and I are going to participate even if we don't have a whole lot of stuff. I'll have plenty by the time it rolls around. I've already got a pile of goods in the dining room waiting to be priced. Whatever doesn't sell goes to the women's shelter.
I love the new house. We have carpet through most of our rooms where we used to have tile throughout. I never could put Joshua down on the floor much because of the fact that he'd be on cold tile. In just one week he has progressed by leaps and bounds in the crawling department because of the carpet. The carpet makes the house seem more cozy. I always loved the tile for cleaning purposes, but at the same time it gave the home a cold feel. Not sure why, just did. My #1 item on my "wants" list is a Dyson Vacuum. I now have a reason behind wanting one and hopefully if I'm real good Santa will bring me on in December.
Other than living in disorganization we're settling in. The boys seem to really like the new place. Jacob especially loves his new playground out back. He is on it all the time. He calls the top part his fort and will hang out up there. This weekend Mr. Big and I climbed up there and just sat with Jacob and Joshua. It was so nice. The four of us sitting enjoying the togetherness of the moment. For an hour or so it seemed like the world was standing still.
Mr. Big has a commute now to work. He's having a hard time adjusting to longer hours and driving. He's tired quite a bit. He's got three exams to take the end of March-beginning of April. He's under a lot of stress. His entire career depends on these three exams. He's studying his rear off and staying focused, but he's still got the monkey on his back as far as the passing versus failing. I told him that he has to remain optimistic, but it's tough.
I've got stuff to do. I was taking a breather. Jacob just got done eating lunch and Joshua is napping.
