Today was spent in the true fashion of how a Sunday should be spent, atleast in my eyes. We went to church this morning. The kids each went to their classes while Mr. Big and I attended the service. Mr. Big has his exam this week so we felt that God's presence today was of great importance. We enjoyed the praise and worship. We ultimately had lots to pray about today. We've prayed lots this whole month and week. Not that we don't already pray, but we've just had Mr. Big's exam on our minds lately. His exam holds his career. We left the service feeling good, confident and faithful that God will protect Mr. Big tomorrow.
After church we went out to eat some cajun food with the boys. Jacob enjoys this po-dunk little joint that makes the BEST etouffe and dirty rice. He loves the shrimp and cajun fries with loads of ketchup. Okay, more ketchup, but that's beside the point. We love it. It's quaint and sets a great mood while you eat. New Orleans Cajun music blaring and lots of fun antique things to look at all over the restaraunt. Fun times!
We came home and got dressed into our comfy clothes. We all laid down in bed and took a long nap. When we awoke, we enjoyed the cool breeze outside while sipping iced tea. Jacob played on his swing and climbed his fort. Joshua soaked in the sun while bouncing in his exersaucer. Callie ran the fence with the neighbor's dog, pouncing back and forth frollicking in play. I just basked in the beautiful weather. It was a gorgeous, lazy day! I love days like this.
To end our day we drove to Walmart for our monthly trip where we blew our budget in one cart load. Groceries, toiletries, pet, yard and home items. You name it, we bought it. It felt good to tackle our shopping list and come home with a back end full of necessities.
I'm going to feed the kids dinner. Mr. Big is studying. I'm going to get the kids in bed and take a long, hot bath alone while reading my latest Parenting magazine. Get this-I'm even going to take the time to shave my legs! Woohoo, it's been a banner day at my house today!
Later!
