Bloodwork Results

The RE's office called today and I've got high cholesterol (273). The LDL level was high too (over 100). Yuck. So, broiled and grilled foods, cut down on fried. Wheat bread instead of white. Exercise 20 minutes per day. It looks like I'm not only working on my weight anymore. I'm working on my cholesterol level now too.

My blood sugar level was 109 after fasting. That means my insulin resistance is still there. Yuck. Back on meds.

Due to the high cholesterol and insulin resistance I'm on 4-500 mg. of Glucophage XR tablets per day (compared to 1 per day last year). Man, I never knew hitting my 30's would be so much fun!

I feel old.

Sorry that you had to receive news like that. My very thin, physically fit brother had high cholesterol too, and was able to lower it with dietary changes alone. It stinks though! Hell, with the exercise you're doing as well as the new diet changes, I bet you'll be losing weight quickly! So at least there is a bright side!
