Joshua: Nine Months

Joshua at nine months is:
-Happy go lucky. Always smiling. He has the most gorgeous round and kissable cheeks! He belly laughs at funny faces. He loves to be tickled and enjoys to be cuddled. He is truly a sweet boy. His disposition is happy. I categorize him as easy-going with a gentle soul. He is adorable in every sense of the word.

-Crawling all over the place. He can get from point a to point b in a matter of seconds. There is nothing in our house he has not explored. He is even starting to pull up on his knees and gaze over furniture. He got up on his feet a handful of times and the smile on his face told us everything. We're in for it.

-He's chatting with us. He says "Dada" (the obvious first word-Daddy), "Bubba" (our name for him), and "Baba" (bottle). He also gabbers a mile a minute in incoherent vowels and syllables. He's just scrumptious when he laughs. He has this interupted gopher type laugh that cracks me up. I scoop him up into my arms everytime he does it because I HAVE to kiss him.

-He eats like no other. He loves his bottle and solids. He's having 3 to 4 bottles per day with three meals in between. He isn't really eating finger foods yet. We've tried Cheerios and Gerber Fruit Puffs, but he's got a sensitive gag reflex still.

-He has one tooth on the bottom. It's sharp. He's working on the 2nd right next to it on the bottom. It came in right around 9 months.

-He takes two naps per day. He puts himself down to sleep. He is so easy to get to bed. I can read this kid like a book. He gets fussy only when he's tired or hungry and its very easy to judge both. I put him down when he gets fussy, say "Night, Night" and he's out. It is that easy!

-Loves his big brother. He adores Jacob. He follows him around the house. Jacob loves Joshua too which works out great for us. You can tell they are going to be best buddies when Joshua can actually play more. Right now Jacob is his "representative" talking for Joshua. He tells us that Joshua loves this or that and wants to do this. It is pretty freaking funny. The funniest thing is how Josh looks at you while Jacob is representing him as to say Yes, just that. So cute.

-Wears 12-18 month clothes. Weighs over 20 lbs. Wears size 4 diapers.

-Is bald. Growing some hair. We think his hair is going to be a light brown. He started out looking just like Jacob did as a baby, but we're seeing him change. They are still similar and share some characteristics, but they are definately their own people.
