I finally broke down and took Joshua to the pediatrician today. He's been sick for 8 continuous days and showing no signs of clearing up. I'm glad we went because he had an ear infection in the right ear and sounded weasey in the chest. He's on Axocillin and breathing treatments with Albuterol as needed at night. I'm relieved to know that this will end. Mr. Big, Jacob and I are already doing better. I guess Joshua's system just had a harder time fighting off the infection and it decided to develop into other ailments. Poor guy! So, the script is being filled and both boys are down for the count taking naps in their rooms.
Mother's Day is Sunday. Mr. Big and I are going out for a nice dinner alone tomorrow night downtown at a fancy Italian restaraunt. He made reservations for 7pm. We're going to go to a trendy bar downtown beforehand and have some drinks. This is the first time in forever since we actually went out alone and spent money on a nice meal and drinks. I'm giddy with excitement!
Saturday afternoon we'll celebrate with my Mom and gift her for being the wonderful Adda that she is. She truly has been a God-send. She watched Jacob for us the whole time I was on bedrest with Joshua. We never had to hire a babysitter or pay for daycare because she drove 45 minutes (each way) to be here at the crack of dawn until the sun went down. I will be forever grateful for her committment was a grandparent to both of the boys. She has continued to spoil them. I can't wait to give her something special and dote on her a little. She deserves it.
The same can be said for Mr. Big's Mom. She's a sweet lady. I can't say enough kind things about her. She has taken me into their family as her own daughter. She never had a daughter in fact, had three boys. So, she loves having daughter in laws. She is my second mother. She's the epitome of what a mother should be and as close to June Cleaver as they come. She is unwavering in her dedication as a mother and grandmother. She's always there. You just know it and you never doubt it. She's a great "Nina". Sunday afternoon we'll celebrate Mother's Day with her and shower her with special somethings.
So, we're getting well here. Things are looking up. I'm hopeful that I can workout again next week and get back into the groove of things again. My muscles are probably wondering where the weights are. Honestly, I've got a couple weeks to get in a bathing suit for the swim class. Doi.
I am really excited about the swim class I signed Jacob up for. It's a Mom and Me swim class held at night. I'm really looking forward to the one on one time together. I'm sure he'll appreciate it as well. He's always up for something new. He's my thrill seeker. Lord help me. The Mom and Me swim class starts May 30th.
That's all I got. I wish you and yours a Happy Mother's Day! I'll check in this weekend. Until then, have a great day.
