The days and nights when you have two sick kids just seem to run together. Up and Down all night with two of them is hard. Mr. Big is trying to get sleep to go to work and I'm trying not to wake him all the while the kids are fussy and or crying and it's hard to remain quiet so he CAN rest. Grrrr. I will be glad when this bug exits our household. Joshua is on antibiotics, but still has a runny nose and cough. Instant relief Amoxicillin is not.
Jacob is just on Pediacare for now. He's the one that is hard to care for. He's demanding and tempermental. Don't know where he gets that? He's been crawling in bed with us the past couple nights. He tosses, turns, kicks, flails, whines, talks in his sleep. It's rough! I end up carrying his 40 lbs of dead weight back to bed. My back aches the next day! I hope and pray that he kicks that cold's ass sooner than later because I'm going to kill him otherwise.
Me? I'm fine. Mr. Big? He's fine. It's just the kids.
In other news, I got my Dyson Vacuum for MD. Holy Moly, I'm in love. It's not the fanciest of the Dysons, it's the base model. Yellow beauty it is. I love it. I actually can not believe it's mine. No bags. What a concept. My old Hoover is really sad. I sort of felt bad for the Hoover actually. Like on Toy Story when Buzz Lightyear replaces Woody in Andy's heart. I just wheeled old Hoover from the closet yesterday to vacuum my room one last time. I mean I DID just change her bag and there was plenty of room left in it for dirt. Once that bag is gone I'll retire Hoover to the garage in case the Dyson does me wrong. Sniff, Sniff. RIP Hoover.
I joined some of the gals on my July Mom's board in a "Home Matters Chore a Day" task. I cleaned our Master Bedroom yesterday from top to bottom. I finally unpacked the remainder of the boxes that were stacked all over the bedroom. I folded clothes on dressers and chairs that needed to be put away. I vacuumed, dusted, windexed and changed the sheets. It was amazing how if held accountable by taking before and after pictures just how much you can get done and cleaned. I was impressed. I haven't logged into today to find out what my new chore is. I'll let you know. It's been fun and I've only done one day. I'll probably be cussing them by week two. I need motivation to get the house done before Jacob and Joshua's parties in June-July.
Jacob is having a Spiderman party. We're ordering Pizza and making some appetizers that he enjoys at home, like cheese dip and tortilla chips. His Adda is making Spiderman cupcakes and a small Spiderman cake so we can put his candles on it. We've got all the plates and decorations. Goodie bags that will be filled with tiny Spiderman junk and party favors. He keeps telling us that he wants to go to his party. He has some classic one liners. Love it.
Joshua is having a Winnie the Pooh First Birthday Party. I ordered a retired Pooh cake pan on Ebay so my Mom can make him a cake. I'm going to buy all the Pooh decorations. His party will be easier because he doesn't have as many friends yet and we're going to keep it small. He still needs a small celebration because we want to celebrate his first year in a special way.
I guess that is all from this end of my spectrum. How are things going in your world? Give me something to look foward to. Like Daylight and Non-runny noses.
