Summer is here!

We've been busy here at the Busy Body! I don't even know where to start. Between activities for the kids and myself the days sort of slither into one. I look at the calendar and its practically half way through June already!

We went to see the movie Cars yesterday. Jacob LOVED it. He watched the whole movie while nibbling on his popcorn. He was entranced. My Mom and I went with him and we LOVED it too. It definately gets 5 stars out of 5 in my Mommy book of movies. I left there feeling the same way I did when I saw Forrest Gump for the first time. That is saying alot for me because I love Forrest. I was "wowed"! Pixar did a lovely job and there were moments when I felt that the scenery and the cars were very realistic. I forgot it was animation at times. It had a great story and you fell in love with the characters. You gotta see it!

The house is cleaned up and ready for the party. I need to do the normal maintenance of dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, but we're looking pretty good otherwise. The yard needs to be done. My Dad is coming over to help with that. So, we should have a nice time on Saturday. I'm looking forward to it. My baby will be THREE! Sigh.

Mr. Big comes home Friday night. It's been a LONG trip for him (and for us). We're looking forward to him coming home. Jacob has asked questions everyday. He loves his Daddy and it's been rough to answer those questions. At the end of the day when I tuck him in to bed he looks up at me and he says "Daddy will come home, Mommy". Ah, tears at my heart strings. I look back at him and say "Yes, he will, Baby". So sweet.

We're headed to the beach tomorrow for some R&R. We've reserved a hotel room with Adda and Adpa and we're just going to enjoy a few days sniffing the lovely brown Gulf of Mexico. I'm doing laundry and getting out things together today.
