5XW

My Mom and I went to the mall yesterday for some retail therapy. She was bored. I was bummed about my negative HPT, so we opted to take the boys and go shopping. One of my main goals was to buy Joshua some shoes at Stride Rite. I had heard they sold shoes in wide so I wanted to buy him a pair since his feet are super chubby and wide and none of Jacob's old shoes fit him correctly. We succeeded in finding him a pair of tennies that were super cute. I had no idea what Stride Rite charged for a pair of shoes. They come with a big price tag. I don't even pay that much for my tennis shoes. LOL!

There was no denying that the boy needed the wide shoes. As soon as we put the shoes on him he trucked around the store with a huge smile on his face. It was absolutely priceless and I would have spent $48 again just to see that smile. The shoes are a hit and he's walking all over the place in them. He loves them! Ummm, he better.

Jacob was content just riding in the rented car buggy. He's such a good boy. I can't brag on him enough for acting like such a big guy. He has his moments, don't get me wrong, but for the most part I'm super lucky in the fact that he's a well behaved, well mannered young man. I think we're doing a good job. So far...

Well-I need to get the boys up and going. It's half price day at the Salvation Army and I like to go browse the children's section. You just never know what hidden treasures you will find there!

Oh, and in case you didn't catch my negative HPT comment in the above paragraph-uh, yea-we're onto cycle #3. Just waiting for AF to arrive. Super bummed, but being super realistic. We were told this could take up to six cycles. We're 2/6 now.

OMG, $48. wow! Colin has wide feet also. My Mom was just saying the other day that we'd probably have to go to Stride Rite for his shoes. I'll have to work some overtime for those puppies!

Oh, I love bargin shopping at the Salvation Army and Goodwill. I am even more excited to find new clothing with tags and all still on for $3.99. I love my new Levi jeans for $3.99.

Sorry to hear this cycle was a bust!

My youngest son is a wide also, and I too had sticker shock as I payed for his shoes! Yikes!!!

I am so sorry this cycle didn't work. Since my first clomid/iui worked with son #1, I assumed it would work right away again even though we too, were told it could take 6 cycles. It's like when a woman is ready to be pregnant, she is ready! (Well, at least I always was, but I am NOT a patient person!) Good luck this month. MAybe three really is a charm!

Let us know if you had luck at the Salvation Army or Goodwill. I keep thinking maybe I should go there.

New Balance has children's wide shoes and they are usually only about $30-35, which is still alot for children's shoes but it beats $48.
