Interview Part Deaux

Tiburon, my lover, my confidante, my friend, you got the picture, interviewed me again at my persuasion. I lead a boring life, what can I say? Here goes for round two.

1. Growing up, did your family have any special traditions, such as things that they did on holidays or birthdays?
We were definately not the Cleavers, but we did have special holidays that usually revolved around good food cooked by my mother. Christmas was probably the most special because we had loads of cool Christmas decorations that would come out each year. My Mom always made us particpate in decorating the house and I think that is where my love for decorating my house comes in. I still to this day love decorating our home for Christmas and involving my children. My Mom is an excellent cook and she would fill our bellies with delicious home cooked traditional meals during the holidays. The best times and laughs were had around the dinner table.

2. What was your first job?
Before I was even legal to work people paid me to groom and professionally handle their dogs. I was one of the top junior handlers in Texas and would travel around the southwest states showing dogs on the weekends. I was raised with dogs and my Mom owned a succesful kennel. As I grew into my teen years I decided that boys and dating was more important than weekends filled with dog shows so I fizzled out of the dog show world and ventured off on my own. I was really good at what I did and I miss it sometimes as an adult. I think about going back to it someday, but not now as I raise my family. It's time consuming.

3. What is your favorite holiday?
Hard to pick one, but I'd say Christmas. Halloween and Thanksgiving coming in at a close second and third.

4. What is your favorite dessert?
Lemon Merangue Pie or White Cake with buttercream icing.

5.What is your favorite vacation spot?
Anywhere tropical-I adore water and scenery.

Anyone want me to interview them? Just comment, but make sure to include your email address. I'm having a hard time with my links on your comments lately.

You know, I probably have sent some good intentioned sympathy your way. As a woman who hasn't experienced fertility issues I guess I sort of feel guilty and frustrated for my friends who have struggled with it.

So, I guess I will stop feeling sympathy and focus on empathy. :-)
