Interview Time

Thanks Sara for interviewing me. If you want to be interviewed too, just leave me a comment and ask me to interview you.

1. People say insensitive stuff to me all the time regarding infertility and miscarriages. What do you wish you could tell the people who just don't understand what we go through in our attempts to have more children?

It's not easy. It's something you have no control over. You don't have reasons or answers why you don't get pregnant. Imagine living, breathing and eating getting pregnant for over a year and that is what an infertile's day consists of. The thing that keeps me going is looking at my two boys and realizing that it's all worth the pain and time it takes, my faith in God and my never ending optimism. Even though I get down, I also get excited thinking and dreaming of who this little person will be. I know it will happen. Oh and one last thing, I hate sympathy and I hate people feeling sorry for me. I am still a person and my life is wonderful in all other aspects! Treat me like a person because I still am one.

2. I know you and your family hunt. We are vegetarians. What would you cook me for dinner if I came over?

Just because we hunt doesn't mean I still can't cook with the best of them. There are so many wonderful vegetables, fruits and rice dishes I could prepare for you. I'd ask you what you loved and go from there. Some things that come to mind that I love to make for us are grilled veggies (zuchinni, squash, onion(s), colored peppers (green, yellow, red)), Fresh corn on the cob, and Wild Rice Medley. And vegetarians do eat cakes and brownies right? I'd make so many our stomachs would hurt afterwards!

3. Tell us a story from your wedding day.

On my Wedding Day it rained. I was so upset that morning thinking that it was raining even if it was an inside wedding. I called Mr. Big over the cell phone just before I was getting my hair done and he was at home getting ready himself. He shared with me that it was good luck on anyone's wedding day if it rained. Soon after he told me that the sun came out and it turned into the most clear, beautiful day I've ever seen. You have probably heard me say this before that our wedding day was one of the most joyous days of my life. I had a smile on my face that didn't stop from the time I woke up in the morning until the time I went to bed that night. I never had a doubt in my mind that I married the wrong person. It felt right and it felt good! It is a day that I will never forget. Just like the days my children were born.

4. What is something you wish you knew how to do?

I wish I knew how to use a sewing machine. I also wish I knew how to knit a blanket. There are some things like making a quilt that I would love to do, but I can't even hand sew a button back on a shirt.

5. What's your Starbucks drink?

I love a Carmel Latte or a Carmel Frap depending on if I drink it indoors (cooler climate) or outdoors (warmer climate).

Cakes and brownies sound great right about now. I'll be right over.

(I didn't mean to insinuate that you can only cook meat, I ws just wondering what your favorite veg dishes were.)
