I spoke way too soon. The next day after my last report on the weather we were back up into the 80's. The boys were in heaven yesterday in their shorts and tees. It was like a warm Spring day in the back yard yesterday afternoon. I enjoyed it and so did the kids!
The dog received one of my famous hair cuts yesterday. I took advantage of the nice weather and set up shop in the back yard while the kids played. If I might say so myself, she's looking svelt in her new coat. I love it when she's trimmed short because I battle with the regular day to day dirt and grime of two boys and I don't like the dog dust bunnies to go along with the other. Of course, I'm game for whatever because she was here before the other two appeared and it's what's familiar. We are used to it and a little dog hair never hurt anyone.
Today I'm airing out the inflatable 60 ft snowman in our front yard. He's about to be packed away until next Christmas season. I bet the neighbors will be glad to see him go. He's quite obnoxious and if it weren't for Adda he wouldn't be residing in our front yard on a seasonal basis. He's quite the pain in my rear to inflate and deflate and lastly to pack away again. All in the name of fun.
I have to admit that things have slowed down considerably at my house and although I'm enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, I also miss the hustle and bustle of the holidays. I enjoyed the shopping and the outings. I guess I'll have to find something else to focus on now. In the mean time, I'm focusing on my house and getting more organized. I don't make tons of resolutions, but one that I would like to accomplish is getting our "things" more organized and get rid of some clutter around the house. I hope to have a pretty big garage sale and get rid of some of the things we don't use any longer. So, here's to 2008 and getting things accomplished!
