Level II Ultrasound Results

We had the Level II Ultrasound today at 1 pm. Everything on the baby looked 100% normal and the baby was even measuring ahead on some things. The brain was great. The heart was great. Everything looked really great! So, we were given a 99.8% chance that the baby does not have Down Syndrome based on the AFP test and the Level II findings. We opted to NOT do the amnio and just go ahead with regular ultrasounds to monitor the baby's growth in case something arises down the road. We feel confident that the baby is fine though and we're faithful that this baby was meant for our family whether we had good news or bad news today. We rejoice in the fact that it was 100% good news for us though.

I go back in June to the Perinatologist doctor that we saw today for another Level II just to recheck growth and make sure the baby is still on target. My regular peri will also check the baby and monitor me between that appt.

Can I just tell you that I was on the phone with Jen waiting, waiting, waiting for the BIG reveal! Way to keep us all in suspense, lady. :-)

In all seriousness, I am so delighted for you that your results came back normal and the babe is healthy and growing well. Congratulations again!
