Jacob was born at 7:10 am on June 18, 2003.
He weighed 7 lbs. 4 0z. and was 20.25 inches long.
He had dark hair and was the most precious angel I had ever laid my eyes on.
We had tried for over three and a half years to conceive and were about to move onto adoption when we found out we were pregnant with him. He is our miracle baby and the beginning to what we now know as parenting. He started the whole love affair for family and what we've grown to know as parenthood.
I do not lie when I say that he has been a JOY to raise. He was born a sweet baby and has continued to blossom into a sweet young boy. He has a love for life and a happiness about him that lights up our worlds. He is smart, quick and funny. There are no ill words to be said about him and we are so lucky to call him our little boy.
Today he weighs over 60 lbs and I can't carry him anymore. He is so tall that he can reach the top shelf of our fridge. He can write, read some words and never ceases to amaze me. He is no longer a baby, but will always reign as my "first born baby" in my heart.
Happy Birthday, Son! We love you SO much!!
I can't believe he turns FIVE today. I really look back on his life and I think "Wow, Where have these last five years gone?". Time really does go by too quickly. I'm glad we've treasured each and every moment, milestone and occasion in his life because I don't have any regrets and I hope he can look back on his childhood and be just as happy as we are now. He is such a great little boy and we're so thankful for him each and every day!
