Our First Day of Kindergarten

Jacob: He did great! He was so excited when he got up in the morning. He was smiling from ear to ear and just anxious to get out of the door and to school. Mr. Big went with me and dropped him off. You could tell he was more nervous when we got to the school, yet still excited. We stayed until about 8:10 am and just took pictures of him in his classroom at his assigned table. He just waved when we walked out and blew me a kiss. I felt at peace leaving him and didn't even cry. I think seeing his joy just made it so much easier on me and I felt some relief in getting past this day.

Joshua: He didn't take it quite as well as we had initially thought he would. He cried leaving Jacob in the classroom, cried on the way home and then acted clingy the rest of the day. He would walk around asking where Jacob was and calling his name. It was really sad. At one point he was in the dining room sitting with all his hot wheel cars lining them up in the front window. I asked him what he was doing and he said "I'm waiting for Jacob to come home, Mommy". Talk about tugging at my heart strings.

Mommy and Daddy: We're both extremely proud of our Jacob. He's such a good kid. I can only imagine how much he'll learn and experience this year in school. I miss him during the day, but I know as a mother that it's also my job to let go and to let him experience life. Even though it pains me to drop him off every day, I know it's for the best. He has a bright future and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds.

Walker has been in school for 2 1/2 weeks and Jace hasn't quit acting up yet. That kid misses his brother and is driving everyone nuts, lol.
