Hunkering down for a Hurricane...

Thanks for all the emails and concern. We are in Brazoria County, but we're in one of the two cities with non-mandatory evacuations. We are boarding up our windows tonight and we've got non-perishable food items in the cupboard. We do have a small generator for the fridge and freezer compliments of Mr. Big's partner who will be staying with us this during this time due to evacuations along the coast. Jacob's school district is supposed to make an announcement today at 1 pm whether or not school will be cancelled tomorrow. There's really not much we can do, but pray and hope that this thing doesn't do much damage.

I've got a 2:15 pm doctor's appointment today in the midst of all of this to check my amniotic fluid level. I'm praying that has not decreased any or we might be having a hurricane baby. Let's hope that doesn't happen. I'm 36 weeks and 2 days today so we're striving for the Sept. 26th cesarean date.

If your in the Gulf region about to be hit by the hurricane, be safe and many prayers for you and yours.

Good luck to you all. Please let me know if you need anything from the east. We are leaving because the storm surge is supposed to be like Hurricane Rita, since we are on the east side of the storm. We are preparing for the "dirty side" of the storm. I pray for ya'll and your baby... Keep us up to date if you can.

I'll be praying that the hurricane will not hit, and that all continues to be well with the baby.

Many prayers your way and for all those in the path of the hurricane. I hope the increase in the pressure of the atmosphere do not cause labor for you. Stay safe.
