Buttermilk Pie
Just like Grandma used to make...
1 ¾ cup butter
1 cup buttermilk
3 ¾ cup sugar
½ cup flour
6 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
Beat all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Pour half of mixture into a 9’ deep dish pie crust (mix makes two pies).
Cook at 340-350 for 1-1.25 hours.
Cook until center does not jiggle, may take longer depending on oven. *Note: The top will become a dark brown as it cooks, that’s ok.
Sit on counter and let cool. The longer it stands the more solid the center becomes. Enjoy!
