Who's Your Daddy?

When Jacob was about four months old he really started noticing who we were. He responded to Mr. Big in a fun way. He would smile, coo and laugh when he heard his voice. I have great pictures of Mr. Big making Jacob laugh. For some reason he'd be a bump on a log with me all day but as soon as he heard his Daddy's voice he'd get excited and anxious. It was as if he knew Daddy was "fun".

To this day Jacob knows that when Daddy gets home fun times follow. They play and go outside together. Mr. Big tosses him in the air and catches him. They run and jump and throw balls together. Their time is just fun. You get the picture! If you are a stay at home Mom I'm sure you can relate.

Joshua will be four months old tomorrow. He is doing the SAME thing Jacob did at this age. As soon as he hears Mr. Big's voice when he gets home for lunch he gets antsy. He will sit in his bouncy and kick and get very excited. As soon as Mr. Big interacts with him he coos and giggles. So cute. It is quite a show.

I swear that babies know their parents and know the difference. Moms are for nurturing and care. Dads are for fun and play.

Anonymous has a good point. Working mothers know what this entry is all about too. I apologize and say 'any mother' can relate. I wasn't thinking outside my small, tiny, little world. Doi!
