Random Thursday

I saw this on Linda's blog and decided that I would take the plunge and tell you 20 random things about myself. I have nothing to write about today besides my snot filled nose and congested head so in hopes to bore you less, I will do this.

1. I am afraid of heights. When I was a kid I would climb into a tree and freeze. I would freak the heck out and my brother would have to climb up into the tree and get me down. Mind you he was younger and probably traumatized me further as he drug me out of the tree by the scuff of my shirt dragging me down the bark of the tree leaving scratches down my body that would make anyone cringe. I just hate to be up high. Scares me.

2. I LOVE to travel. I find going somewhere new so enlightening and fresh. I would have made a great military person or a nomad because I find a new place fun. I love learning things about an area and getting to know the locals. If I had a million dollars I would travel the world.

3. I find politics boring. I can't get into politics. Sure I get fired up sometimes about an issue. I go vote, get it out of my system and then I'm done with it. I am republican. I don't know, I just find politics lame.

4. Escalators terrify me. I guess they go back to the fear of heights. There is just something about a moving metal staircase that scares the pants off of me. I stand at the top of an escalator, brace myself, hold on for dear life and never look down as it moves. Mr. Big is always down on the bottom waiting on me with this shit eaten grin on his face. I hate those things!

5. I have a fear of dying. I don't know why but I can sit and think about dying and it terrifies me. I love being here on earth. I just can't imagine going anywhere else, even if its to Heaven. I hope to get over this fear as I get older. Ya think?

6. I'm a Christian. I don't like to talk about religion outside of my household. I believe in God, Jesus Christ and the Bible. We go to church every Sunday that we can. We are involved in our church and enjoy it. We tithe like good people and try to live our lives as Christians do. Although, I'm not claiming to be perfect, no one is.

7. My boys are everything to me. I find myself wound up in them and not really doing much for myself lately. I'm not sure how healthy it is, but at the present I really don't care. I can't imagine my life any other way. When Jacob starts school in a couple years (Lord help me cope) I will be able to look back and know that I was there for him every morning, afternoon and night time. Joshua too. I just enjoy spending time with them. They are so delicious.

8. I would love a sports car one day. One that is pretty and cool and fast. Just to say I have one, I guess.

9. I go back and forth between biting my nails and not biting my nails. At the present I have long nails that annoy the crap out of me. I go in spurts and will bite them all off. I don't know why. I'm weird like that. Mr. Big hates it when I bite them.

10. I like soft sheets. A good 450 thread count is perfect. The higher the better. Add egyptian cotton in and Lordy, someone stop me from sleeping. I find my bed our retreat and like it comfy. Nothing but the best sheets. Bed, Bath and Beyond have the BEST clearance racks for said sheets.

11. My husband is the most intelligent human being alive. He has the best advice. He can think clearly in the weirdest of circumstances. He really is a smart guy. I wish I was more like him in that department and find myself praying that our kids got his brains.

12. I hate my boobs. The girls are saggy. I've got the genes for National Geographic boobs. I will one day (after reproducing and BFing) have them nipped and tucked. Bye, Bye Girls.

13. I hate budgets and finances. I'm sure you know what I mean. No explanation needed here.

14. I only use Tide Detergent and Downy fabric softener. Like my sheets, I like my clothes to come out of the dryer soft and smelling fresh. To me Tide Coldwater is the best smell in the whole world. Downy added to that is just well, orgasmic. I'm easy, never stated otherwise.

15. I turn 30 in February. I am looking forward to the next decade. I have many dreams for this phase of my life. Too many to share here.

16. I hate being sick.

17. I love talking on the phone. I can spend 5 hours easily chatting with a girlfriend about random crap. The phone was sent from angels above. Thank you phone angels.

18. Margaritas are yummy. I love mexican food.

19. Old Navy PJ bottoms are the best thing I have in my wardrobe. I've never been one for fashion. I just like a good pair of comfy pants and top and I'm set. Give me a pair of tennies and I'm really set. Comfort is golden.

20. I wear glasses and contacts. I got my first pair of glasses at a young age. I looked like a dork. Cool dork, but a dork.
