9 Month Letter from Mommy

Dear Joshua,

You are 9 months old today. I am taking you for your pedi appt. at 10am and can't wait to find out just how much you've grown in the past nine months. I remember the first time I held you and kissed your tiny forehead. You didn't cry, but stared back into my eyes. I felt like we were one soul. You were not in my tummy anymore, yet you felt as if you were still a piece of me. You are gentle soul, Josh. I could tell that holding you and staring back into your eyes. You were always calm and relaxed in my tummy and to this day you still are. You are a happy baby. You never fuss or cry unless you are hungry, tired or have a dirty diaper. You bring great joy to all our lives!

Jacob adores you. I was worried how he would react to a little brother. He has been enamored by you since he first saw you in the hospital NICU. He calls you "baby brother" and you two have long conversations back and forth together. He can make you do a really high pitched scream. I can tell you two will be great friends.

You are crawling and getting around by yourself. You are content to entertain yourself and explore the house. I have to watch you around electrical outlets and plugs because you seem interested. Your Daddy and I are amazed by you and your new skills. We love watching you explore this world and learn new things.

You, Josh, are our little boy. You are our baby. We love you dearly and are grateful each and every day that you are in our family. When God sent you to us he picked you special. We can tell. You are special!

Love,
Mommy
