It's Friday! Doing the happy dance here! How about you?
I have all my windows open today. We have nice mid 70-ish weather with low humidity. It is truly nice for Texas. D-It's actually very, very nice weather compared to when you were here in May (which was drowing in humidity and heat!). The boys are loving the fact that they can sit in the windows (like cats) and sniff the fresh air. Joshua especially.
I am baking a cake and my Mom is coming over to decorate it today. We were asked by my SIL to make my nephew's 2nd birthday cake. I'll post pics when we're done. He is having a swimming party with a Finding Nemo theme. The party is tomorrow afternoon. Should be good times!
Yesterday was Jacob's second soccer game. We took him to Academy this week and bought him all the soccer gear he needed to play. He was sporting soccer shoes, soccer socks/shin guards, soccer shorts and his YMCA shirt. He is the proudest of the shirt. When we went and celebrated with icecream afterwards he insisted that we take his shirt off and put another one on him so he did not get any icecream on the front of it. No stains for that precious team shirt! He's so funny! He is definately better this week. He is kicking better and dribbling the ball up the field. He loves to play red light, green light. He also kicks it really hard into the goal and puts his arms up into the air for victory. His partner on the team is Martini (gotta love that name!). He is a cute little boy with glasses that is just as shy as Jacob. They hardly say two words to one another until the end of the practice where they shower each other with Goodbyes and See you next weeks! Gotta love the shy ones.
We have quite a few upcoming weekend trips planned. We're going to Mannafield Farms in Angleton to do the whole Fall thing. Corn maze, Hay Rides, Pumpkin Patch, and petting of friendly farm animals. We are also going on a safari run to Alvin where we'll visit a farm with exotic animals from Africa. That should give Jacob something to talk about for weeks since you take a train around the property and feed giraffes, rhinos and other various exotic animals. We've also planned a weekend away for our anniversary (7th). I'm excited about some romantic time away with my husband.
Oh, If you are having a hard time finding a gift for someone... this website is v. v. cool! Check it out here.
Enjoy your day and have a great weekend!
