Acupuncture 101

I'm going to my first Acupuncture session on June 14th. I decided that it fell into the can't hurt category as far as fertility is concerned. Plus, I figured it would help me with stress and relaxation. I am one rigid woman with all I've got going on right now. Tell me stories of acupuncture and what it did for you. I'm curious as I'm not sure I'm fully on board yet. I'm excited and can't wait to see what the acupuncturist does for me and my situation.

My friend was battling with infertility for 7 years, did a cycle of IVF with acupunture and she swears it was that that made her successful. She then had twins. So good luck with it!!!!

I will be really interested to see how it goes for you.

My sister suffers from excruciating headaches after a botched spinal tap seven years ago and she is thinking of trying it as well. So far nothing else has helped for her and it would be an added bonus for her as well if it helped in the IF arena too.

I don't know if I am out of line suggesting this or bringing it up, but I struggled to have my first two and it most likely is just a fluke, but each time I got pregnant I was in the midst of a green tea kick...drinking it hot and cold, day and night for at least a month. If you like it, it might be worth a try.

I did accupuncture during my IVF cycle. Like you, I wasn't convinced, but what the hell I thought. Plus, I had read studies about the increased odds and all, so I went for it. After all the months of trying, I did get pregnant. Even my RE asked for her number. I don't know if that is what did it, but it certainly didn't hurt. Oh, and I felt more relaxed after every treatment. A definite plus when going through IF treatments.

How is the acupuncture going? I just started the other day, I posted about it in my Blog. It was definitely interesting and I hope it works for both of us.
