Insomnia

I have battled insomnia since I was pregnant with Jacob. I think I've inherited it from my mother who also battles insomnia every night. I seemed to kick the insomnia during the first two trimesters of each pregnancy when my body was just so tired that all I could think about was sleeping. Inevitably it came back after I had Joshua and he started sleeping through the night. It is extremely frustrating to me that I lay awake at night in bed while Mr. Big saws logs in a deep slumber. I haven't asked for assistance in the medication department because I feel embarrased to ask. I don't know why. Plus, we've been trying to get pregnant and I'm not sure you can actually take medication while trying or when I do become pregnant. It is a very frustrating ordeal for me. I wish I had a miracle cure.

Aimee,

That is terrible. I have a friend that has struggled with it for years.

She suggests Sleepy Time Tea. Maybe give your OB a call just to make sure it an okay tea to drink.

When I have problems, QVC and a bologna sand. usually does the trick. :)

Good luck!

I'm sorry Aimee...Insomnia is never FUN...ok maybe in Vegas, but not at home.

Have you tried Tylenol PM? I was able to take it when I was pregnant with Sierra. Non addictive and worked pretty well for me.

Wishing you lots of good sleep. =)
