I guess we're both relieved that the Ball is over as it's been an on-going thing for the past four or five months. We've been at this fund raising stuff for months and it is time consuming. Collectively the candidates raised $108 thousand dollars for the neighborhood center. That was the most money raised in a year so far. Each year the candidates strive to raise more than last years candidates and they succeeded greatly this year. Mr. Big did not win King, but he left with a sense of pride for what he had accomplised in fundraising. He touched the lives of many people that will benefit from the funds he raised to go towards a food pantry, school supplies for under priviledged children, Toys for Tots, Domestic violence and other great things that the neighborhood center does constantly throught out the year.
The Ball was beautiful. It was an Asian themed gala and was decorated really pretty. There was good food and drinks. Dancing... the whole nine yards. If you are a member of my Flickr, see pictures there. We took a few before we left the house.
Now I can relax and get back to life... phew! Glad that's over.
