Summer is coming to a close...

We're trying to fit in all we can before Jacob starts school. We've had a fun summer sticking close to home and just doing small family outings. We've enjoyed outer cities around the Houston area. We've enjoyed time at the lake fishing, boating and swimming. We've had many days at the YMCA pool and splash park. We've gone to Galveston and Moody Gardens quite a few times. We've gone to see movies, bouncy places, malls, restaurants and other cool places just to keep cool in the air conditioning. We've gone to events like the circus and the hunter's extravaganza. It's been a fun-filled summer and we've had a blast! This year we'll be working around a school calendar for the first time and experiencing holidays and seasons on a schedule. We'll manage to incorporate the days into ours and have a good time. These are the days, my friends, these are the days!

That's funny. Last year we took a beach vacation in mid September. We were discussing doing that again when I reminded the huz that we now have a kid in public school and we can't just go willy nilly all over the place.....but we will probably go anyway and keep him out this year.

With the daycare and his work schedule, we've yet to get even a summer weekend vacation so we will probably take one anyway this year......

But, yea these are days...except I am about to pull out the 3 year old's tongue because he has talked non-stop since yesterday when we dropped off the oldest at school...He is making me nutso with all the talking!
