Spring Break... Here we come!

A few weeks ago I had this great idea...

I made reservations at hotels in San Antonio to embark on our very first Spring Break adventure as a family. The planning was fun and I had a great time getting my Mom to help me find the best deals to Seaworld and Riverwalk/Alamo activities. I bought the tickets to Seaworld at a fraction of the price and felt great about saving money. I reserved our rooms using Priceline, reward points, etc. saving us even more money! Score! It all sounded great at the time and now I sit and think about the packing, the traveling, the chaos, the drama. Ah, good times! I really must have had three or four cups of coffee that day to make myself really think that traveling with a 5, 3 and 5 month old sounded wonderful. So, here I sit on Monday thinking about the Friday afternoon we will be leaving and I just want for someone to hold me and stroke my hair. I'm scared! Very scared!

Wish me luck as I attempt to abuse myself and my husband, who innocently thinks this is going to be kick ass! I do have my new camera though and while I'm scared about the hotel rooms being defaced and withstanding Joshua's abuse, I am excited about capturing the expressions on their faces when Shamu jumps out of the water and they see that for the first time. I am also excited to see Jacob when he walks up to the Alamo and sees it for the first time. He's my little historian and will LOVE it. So... while scared, there is some sense of excitement. I can't believe my kids are old enough to take them on vacation. Wow! This is the life.

It will be fine. We are going to the beach this summer. I just booked our reservations last night. I am excited and just a tad nervous, too. I am hoping it will be a "kick-ass" trip. LOL

My advice take ponchos if the kids want to sit in the splash zone and take lot's of breaks. It will be fun. Stressful but fun. :)
